How to set up emails from your app

Tell your AI team which emails your app should send — like a welcome note or an order confirmation — so they are built into your app from the start.

What you'll do

You'll tell your AI team which emails your app should send — like a welcome note when someone signs up, or a confirmation after a purchase — so they're part of your app's plan from the start. There's no separate email tool to connect: you describe what you want, and your AI team builds it into your app.

Step 1 — Decide which emails you need

Start by listing the moments where an email makes sense. Common ones are a welcome email when someone joins, a confirmation after an order, or a heads-up to you when someone fills in a form.

Keep it to the one or two that matter most for your first version. You can always add more later.

Step 2 — Describe them to the AI

Tell your AI team what you want, in plain words — in your consultation while you're planning, or in the builder chat once you're building. For example: "Send a welcome email when someone signs up," or "Email me a confirmation after each order."

Be specific about when the email should go out and who it's for.

Step 3 — Set the wording and the sender

Once it's in your plan, tell the AI what each email should say and who it should come from — a friendly subject line, a short message, and a recognizable sender name.

Keep the wording clear and honest so your messages feel trustworthy and aren't mistaken for junk.

Step 4 — Preview and check the flow

Preview your project and run through the action that should trigger the email — sign up, place an order, or submit the form. Confirm your app responds the way you expect at each step.

If anything isn't right, just tell the AI in chat what to change, then preview again.

Tips

  • Start with one email, like a welcome note, get the flow right, then add more.
  • Write for the reader: a clear subject and a short, honest message always wins.
  • Email is part of your app's plan, not a separate add-on — so describe it the same way you describe any other feature.
