How to preview your app before publishing
See the exact version your visitors will get, on phone and desktop, inside the Visual Builder — and check it over before you go public.
What you'll do
Before you make your app public, you'll preview the exact version your visitors will see, right inside the Visual Builder. This is your chance to catch typos, broken links, and anything that doesn't flow the way you expected — all without anyone else seeing it.
Step 1 — Open your project in the Visual Builder
Open your project and choose Open in Builder. The center of the builder shows a live preview of your app — the same thing a real visitor would experience, not the editing view's outlines.
Take a moment to let it load fully, then look at it with fresh eyes, as if you were a first-time visitor.
Step 2 — Check it on phone and desktop
Most people will visit on a phone, so it's worth checking both sizes. Use the device switcher above the preview to flip between desktop, tablet and phone.
On the phone view, make sure text is easy to read, buttons are easy to tap, and nothing important is cut off or hidden.
Step 3 — Read the words and check the links
Read every heading, button, and paragraph slowly. It's easy to miss a typo when you've been staring at it for a while.
Then check each link and button. Confirm they point where you expect — your home page, a sign-up screen, or an outside site — and that nothing leads to a dead end.
Step 4 — Walk through the key flow
Step through the main thing you want people to do, start to finish. If you added a form, try filling it in; if you added sign-in or payments, do a run-through to see how it feels.
If anything feels off, fix it right there in the builder — move things by point-and-click, or just ask the AI in chat to change it — then look again.
Tips
- Previewing costs nothing, on every plan. Look as often as you like.
- Ask a friend to look over your shoulder. They'll spot confusing bits you've stopped noticing.
- Previewing in the builder is private — nothing is public until you choose to publish.
- Test on a real phone too, not just the phone view, so taps and scrolling feel right.
